About Me
Hello, My name is Sue Connolly.
I am a Celebrant and absolutely love delivering fun, individual and bespoke celebrations, There are very special moments in life, and to celebrate them in your way, is the best way that you can do this. I will meet and get to know you and your story, guide you and create a unique celebration that you want. My background is in Education, mainly with D/deaf students, Level 6 BSL, and Educational needs. I became a Celebrant, so that I could perform my Mum and Dad's Renewal of Vows Ceremony, for their 50th Wedding Anniversary. I wanted to give them the beautiful, individual, fun and loving ceremony they deserved. It was such a memorable and special day, I feel honored to be able to create special days, for other wonderful people, just like you.
As a Level 6 BSL user, I am also honoured to be able to offer individual and inclusive ceremonies, using Sign Language.
What is a Celebrant
Most people, when they are thinking of getting married, or having a ceremony, think that they only have two traditional options, have a religious ceremony or have a civil ceremony with a registrar. But there is a third, and increasingly popular option, have a ceremony led by a celebrant.
If you've always wanted to have your special day under the stars, on a beach, among beautiful gardens, beside castle ruins or at your own home, a celebrant is the choice for you. You can have your special day wherever and when ever you want. Religious and civil ceremonies can feel very limiting for some couples and families. Which is why a celebrant-led celebration, is peronal, and unique just like you. You want to have your dreams come true, to be shared with all the people that you love. A celebrant can make this happen for you. A celebrant can add any religious elements, special symbolisms, lighting of candles, handfasting, Anything personal and important to you that you want to add, we can make it work. My heart is in making sure that everyone who comes to me, gets the special day that they deserve, it's your day, and there will never be another one like it. That is why i'm a celebrant.
